ABOUT MY WORK

My paintings are often portraying figures in movement. There will often be elements of dancing, nature and facial expressions. Dance and music is a great source of inspiration for me, since these are art forms that can contain a lot of storytelling and emotional expression — from joy and sorrow to passion and temper. It is a global form of communication, in which you can tell a unique story that everyone can interpret differently.

Oftentimes, it is this universal language and the use of all senses that inspire me. In my paintings you will also find elements and references to people that I have met or seen and to places that I have been or experienced throughout my life. I find the diverse scenery in cities and the interactions of everyday life to be very inspiring.
